between Senegal and Netherlands, the quality
of goalkeeping made the real DIFFERENCE.
Netherlands team is famous for its
strategy of speedy COUNTERATTACKING;
out of all the African teams, in terms of speedy
football, Senegal team is still the KING.
In the 1st half of the match
on 21.11.2022, both teams failed
to get their rhythm RIGHT;
in the midfield area, lots of wrong
passes with no plans at all, made
it look like a very mediocre FIGHT.
Senegal strikers were playing
well, so many shots came in,
but, Andries Noppert saved it ALL;
in the 83rd minute, Cody Gakpo gave
Netherlands a 1-0 lead, with a header, before
Edouard Mendy could punch the FOOTBALL.
The 2nd goal was like a gift, an example
of another goalkeeping error, capitalised
smartly by Davy KLASSEN;
despite playing better football than
Netherlands, it was a disappointing
