"A POOR ILLITERATE CUSTOMER: 'Sir, why
the bank has deducted 'Minimun Balance
Charge', when I had a balance of Rs. 4,200/-;
even, what is this, for printing my
passbook more than 3 times in a
month, the bank is deducting Rs. 200/-.
I will complain about it to
the Indian GOVERNMENT;
we, the poor customers are facing
so much financial HARASSMENT.'
BANK CLERK: 'Ha ha ha, let me just
have a great laugh at it, oh, Sir,
the Indian Government is no more
the owner of this BANK;
it was once the big PSU bank, but, now, it
has been privatized, so, you can waste your
valuable time and energy by complaining
about it to any MLA, MP of any RANK.
Let me tell you that the minimum balance
for any Savings Account in our bank
is now Rs. 5,000/-;
also, if your average savings
balance in your account in a
year exceeds Rs. 50,000/-,
then we will deduct 'Annual
Custody and Maintainence
Charge' of another Rs. 500/-.'
A POOR ILLITERATE CUSTOMER: 'Where
is the Branch Manager,
immediately, I want to
close my Savings ACCOUNT;
only 4 PSU Banks exist in India now,
I will go and open a savings account
in any of those PSU Banks where
minimum balance is still of so small AMOUNT.'
BRANCH OFFICER: 'Sir, please fill up the
'Account Closure Form' if you wish to, or
maintain silence here, but, please don't YELL;
go to any political rally or media house,
where you can say as much
sad story you want to TELL.
Indian Government has privatized PSU banks
to do profitable business only, so, only rich
and big customers will be treated as KING;
why should this private bank will bother
about you such poor customer who
actually has NOTHING.
Next month, all the branches in
remote rural areas will be closed, no
concept of 'compromise of loans' are
there anymore, also forget about agricultural
loans at a cheaper rate of INTEREST;
see the fun, now, it is our turn to laugh at you
such poor customers who were laughing at us
when we were going for bank strikes against
privatization and you guys were proudly saying,
'Privatization policy is the BEST'.'"- Arindam Sain
