"In our childhood days, there was
no 'mobile connection', only 'LANDLINE';
life had its simple qualities with a blend of
soothing happiness and everything was FINE.
'Tom and Jerry' and 'Jungle Book' were
superhit in television whereas almost
everyone enjoyed hearing 'Mama Bhaagne'
and 'Shanivaar er Baarbela' in the radio SET;
when it comes to books, 'Sukumar Ray', the
father of 'Satyajit Ray', has created some
fantastic characters indeed, and 'Sukumar
Samagra' is available in the INTERNET.
Another favourite thing for us
were the comics books
we often used to BUY;
'Narayan Debnath' has created
some characters in which
'Baantul' was like a superhero GUY.
Even smart children
used to read the comics
books of 'Hnaada BNODA';
in 'Nonte Fonte' comics series, we
always enjoyed when 'Superintendent
Sir' used to beat up 'KELTU DAA'.
Everytime the hard work
done by 'Chemical DAADU';
used to get spoiled
by 'Daanpite KNHAADU'.
The characters created by 'Sukumar Ray'
and 'Narayan Debnath' will always
remain popular among the CHILDREN;
those comics books stories have become
cartoon shows, that is the only difference
between now and THEN."- Arindam Sain
